祥龍山金剛寺

3月より新たな試みとして、「みんなで作務」を開始いたします。
禅のお寺では座禅やお経を読むこと以外に、庭の手入れや建物のお掃除、畑仕事など、生活に必要なあらゆる作業を作務（さむ）と呼び、とても大切にしています。生きるための生活すべてが自分を高めるための修行と考えているからです。坐禅修行のことを「静中の工夫」というのに対し、作務のことを「動中の工夫」といいます。江戸時代に活躍された白隠（はくいん）禅師は「動中の工夫は静中に勝ること百千億倍す」という言葉を残されています。禅の修行は座禅がメインだと思われがちですが、実はそれ以上に作務を大事にしているのです。
金剛寺では毎日境内の手入れや掃除を行っておりますが、皆さんのお力をお借りすることで、もっと効率よく、お参りして心地よい境内にすることが出来ます。より良いお寺づくりの一環としてこれから「みんなで作務」を定期的に行っていきます。内容は毎回変わりますが、基本的には2時間ほど境内の手入れを行い、その後、皆でお弁当を楽しみます。
少し汗ばむ程度の軽作業で、お寺の境内をきれいにすると共に、心も体もスッキリして一日をいい状態で過ごせるのではないでしょうか。お寺の作務をお手伝いして頂ける方がいらっしゃればご連絡いただければと思います。

［その他］　お寺にも草取り用具の多少の用意がありますが、大人数には対応していないため草取鎌などお持ちの方はお持ちください。

A new program "Zen Samu Practice" will start in March 2022.
"Samu" is a very important part of Zen Buddhism. During the training to become a Zen Monk, not only Zen Meditation and Sutra reading is a main task, but also daily works, such as garden maintenance, building, cleaning, and cooking. These daily tasks in the life of a Zen Monk are called "Samu". 
The basic content of the "Samu" program is to work together with the Zen Monk and help maintaining the temple and its surroundings paired with a joyful lunch with all attendees. Switch your mind off during the "Zen Samu Practice" and spend a short moment at the Zen temple for a good cause.
