Sangha Program [Summer]

Sangha is the name of the self-care program of Kongoji Zen Temple, which is divided into [body], [mind] and [head]. Each Sangha Event focuses on one specific part and has the purpose to improve it. To give people the possibility of experiencing different sports, games and relaxation events, the contents of the Sangha Program may change.
For those who would like to participate on a regular basis, we offer Sangha memberships. Become a member of the Sangha Community and you will benefit from special fees as well as will be able to join the events together with a friend or family member for the same fee. Sport Event to enhance flexibility

Join us for an exciting stick fighting course held in an ancient Zen temple! Experience the versatility and practicality of this unique stick fighting method Bian Gan. Originating from a simple hiking stick, Bian Gan combines techniques from different combat styles, along with the movement principles from the four boxing methods of Tongbei Martial Arts. This lightweight stick allows for strikes and slow spins, making it both effective and efficient in one-handed and double-handed operations. Discover the art of ancient martial art, known for its precise movements, in the serene and historic setting of our Zen temple.
